When I first picked up a camera, I got outside and captured every chance I could get.
I quickly realized I needed a subject to shoot.
Then I found the most reliable subject to capture whenever I wanted. Myself.
I shot THOUSANDS of self-portraits, and learned most of what I know from this time.
After moving to Charleston my life changed dramatically.
Living on my own, in a new city, with a new job.
Daily sunrises began to fade away and creating wasn't the same anymore.
I needed something to kickstart my creativity.
The solution was a month-long project taking me back to my roots.
I committed to going to the beach EVERY MORNING before work and practicing my photography.
I explored new places and beaches and captured myself in this beautiful new scenery.
This was just what I needed to push myself back into creating.
